Circular Economy Projects

The activity of our organisation that has a greater impact on the circular economy is the treatment and elimination of urban waste, an activity that is also conditioned by the goals set at European level at the 2035 horizon:

  • A two-fold goal for recycling:
    • 65% of municipal waste
    • 75% of packaging waste
  • a binding goal of reducing landfill disposal to a maximum of 10% of all waste;

In order to raise awareness amongst its teams of collaborators regarding the principles of the Circular Economy, FCC Environment participates in the European Week for Waste Reduction. In collaboration with charities, the ATHOS project® (All Advancing Towards Sustainable Goals), which invited 5,000 employees to voluntarily participate by donating used clothes and small electronic devices for reuse; an initiative promoted by the company so that its workers can become ambassadors of good practices which benefit society as a whole.
