Climate Change
FCC Environment is committed to the fight against climate change and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
Within the framework of the SDG 13 "Action for climate" and for the fifth consecutive year, FCC Environment has recorded the calculation of the organisation's Carbon Footprint in the Registry of Carbon Footprint, Compensation and CO2 Absorption Projects of the Ministry of Ecological Transition's Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC - Oficina Española de Cambio Climático).
In compliance with its commitments to reduce GHG emissions, FCC Environment obtained the Reduzco hallmark awarded by the Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC). This accreditation is in addition to the previous Calculo hallmark, which has endorsed the registration of FCC Environment in the aforementioned process since 2013 and it has been upheld ever since. FCC Environment joins the 32 Spanish entities that were awarded the Calculo hallmark and the Reduzco hallmark.

In 2012, we set out our first climate change strategy. We have since intensified our projects and actions in this area and are currently designing a more ambitious strategy that sets new qualitative and quantitative targets to be met at the 2050 horizon. This strategy will include the simulation of possible future scenarios that have been designed based on the evolution of GHG emissions over the past eight years.
