Climate Change
FCC Medio Ambiente is fully committed to the fight against climate change and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, particularly SDG 13, ‘Climate Action’.
Within this framework, the company has successfully completed the process of verifying its carbon footprint and registering it in the Register of Carbon Footprints, Offsetting and CO₂ Absorption Projects, managed by the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC) of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD).
As reflection of the progress made in decarbonisation, the company has applied, for the sixth consecutive time, for the “Calculate-Reduce-Offset” seal awarded by the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC in Spanish) This recognition builds on the seals obtained since 2013 and certifies not only the calculation and offsetting of emissions, but also the effective implementation of measures to reduce the carbon footprint.

Furthermore, the launch of its 2024–2030 GHG Emissions Reduction Plan reinforces the environmental pillar of the 2050 Sustainability Strategy, a long-term roadmap that sets out ambitious and high-impact objectives for both the company and society. This strategy is structured around four key pillars: the environment, society, excellence and good governance.
Thanks to these initiatives, FCC Medio Ambiente continues to move towards a more sustainable and efficient business model that is aligned with current climate challenges, actively contributing to the transition to a low-carbon economy.
