FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente strengthens its position in the state of Minnesota (USA)
- The City of Minneapolis trusts FCC Environmental Services with the company's second contract in the state.

FCC Environmental Services, subsidiary of FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente and one of the largest providers of waste management and recycling services in the United States, has been awarded the contract to operate the South Municipal Solid Waste Transfer Station for the City of Minneapolis, the company's second contract in the state of Minnesota. The service is foreseen to last up to five years with an associated order book value of up to $8.3 million (€7.3 million).
FCC Environmental Services will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the transfer station, as well as the transportation of Construction & Demolition debris (C&D) and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). As part of its commitment to operational excellence, the company will invest approximately half a million dollars (€439,500) in new equipment, including three specialised vehicles and 18 brand-new containers, and will hire local employees.
FCC Environmental Services thus strengthens its presence in the United States, bringing its industry-leading waste management practices to municipalities nationwide.
