He also emphasised the innovative nature of this contract, ‘which fully reflects our innovative DNA: in addition to implementing clean electric technologies in vehicles and machinery, it will be managed through the VISION digital platform, developed exclusively by FCC Medio Ambiente, which also serves as an integrative channel for communication between the City Council, the company and citizens.’ At the end, attendees were shown the video ‘50 years in Salamanca’, which can be viewed through this link.
The Mayor of Salamanca, Mr Carlos García Carbayo, highlighted FCC Medio Ambiente's commitment to the city: ‘Salamanca is clean heritage,’ he said, recalling how urban cleanliness is one of the hallmarks most valued by residents and visitors alike. He emphasised the company's rapid response to large events and the work of the professionals who ensure the care of streets and squares. For his part, the president of the Regional Government of Castile and León, Mr Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, congratulated the company on its 50 years in Salamanca and the FCC Group's 125-year history. ‘FCC Medio Ambiente has been efficiently providing an essential public service for 50 years,’ he said, adding that it is an example of public-private collaboration, innovation and commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion.
