FCC Medio Ambiente awarded for its Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
- The Adecco Foundation and the Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad (Sustainability Excellence Club) have awarded the company the prize for the Best Diversity and Inclusion Strategy in the VII Edition of the ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ Awards

At the award ceremony, held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Iñigo Sanz, CEO of FCC Medio Ambiente, highlighted the value of a working environment in which all people are treated with dignity and respect and he placed special emphasis on the differential value of the workers who make up the organisation, considering and respecting their personal experiences, whatever they may be.
The award-winning project summarises the company's over ten years of experience in equality, diversity and inclusion and reaffirms its commitment to building an organisation that is committed not only to offering quality services that help care for the environment, but also to improving the quality of life of people in the 5,400 municipalities in which it operates.
The slogan ‘NOW IS THE TIME’ brings together all the initiatives developed since 2017 in this field, which include actions to raise awareness, training and recruitment of various groups such as people with disabilities, refugees, people at risk of social exclusion, members of the LGTBIQ+ group and women victims of gender violence, among others. This commitment has also been made visible in the recently published FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente Sustainability Disclosure 2023, in which the group undertakes to facilitate a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment and to involve all its people in compliance with its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy, regardless of the position or function they hold.
FCC Medio Ambiente extends this recognition to the more than 56,000 people who make up the company, whose daily work contributes to making the company a national and international benchmark in this field.
The company would also like to thank all the associations and entities that have accompanied it during this decade for their invaluable help and dedication, without which it would not have been possible to achieve this recognition.
This award is in addition to other prizes and distinctions that FCC Medio Ambiente has received to date, including the Spanish Government's Equality in the Company Distinction from the Ministry of Equality (2020), the Adecco Foundation's Award for Best Practice in Social Inclusion (2021) and the Diversity Leading Company Seal from Equipos & Talento (2024).
