FCC enviro reaches agreement to acquire Cumbria Waste Group in the United Kingdom
- Cumbria Waste Group’s business in the region consists mainly of recycling, waste collections and treatment for both municipal and commercial customers.
- The transaction is expected to be completed in the final quarter of 2025.

FCC enviro has agreed to buy the Cumbria Waste Group business from Waterland Private Equity in the United Kingdom. The deal is expected to be completed in the final quarter of 2025, subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions customary in this type of transaction.
FCC enviro has been present in the British market since 1989 through its affiliate FCC Environment UK and is one of the leading waste and resource management operators in the country. The acquisition of Cumbria Waste Group’s business will enable it to deepen its geographical coverage and further expand its product and service offering to enhance the value proposal for its customers.
Based in the north of England, Cumbria Waste Group is a provider of Total Waste Solutions for both municipal and commercial customers, operating material recovery, composting, hazardous & liquid waste treatment and household waste recycling facilities alongside waste, recycling and organic collections.
