FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente launches its first Sustainability Disclosure
FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente Holding, backbone entity of the FCC Group's environmental activities, publishes its first Sustainability Disclosure with the main objective of disseminating its commitment and the transparency of its performance in environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.
FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente is one of the leading global groups specialised in environmental solutions. The company has more than 120 years of experience in providing services to public and private clients and is currently present in 5,400 municipalities around the world. Its extensive experience is visible in the wide range of services it provides, always guaranteeing quality and excellence, including the collection, treatment, recycling, energy recovery and disposal of domestic and industrial waste; street and beach cleaning; maintenance of the sewage network; recovery of polluted soil and ground and parks maintenance; among others.
This first Sustainability Disclosure, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), presents the consolidated figures for the year 2023 for all the geographical platforms where it operates, laying the groundwork for the incorporation of the new European ESRS (EU Sustainability Reporting Standards) into the company's sustainability reporting strategy. In addition, the group presents for the first time the results of the transversal projects that it has been developing, such as the Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Analysis and the Dual Materiality Study.
