FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente Holding joins the United Nations Global Compact

FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente is honoured to announce its recent adherence to the United Nations Global Compact in Spain, marking the company's commitment to sustainability.

Joining the UN Global Compact means that the company commits to align its operations with Ten Universally Accepted Principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of the United Nations goals currently embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In words of Iñigo Sanz, CEO of FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente: ‘This initiative reinforces FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente's commitment to sustainability awareness and transparency towards its stakeholders and allows us to take a step forward in aligning with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and to enable cooperation to effectively advance towards a more resilient, fair and inclusive society’.

FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente thus joins a global network of companies committed to sustainability and actively contributes to the efforts to achieve the SDGs of the UN's 2030 Agenda.

In Spain, more than 1,700 organisations have joined the initiative, making it one of the five local networks with the largest number of member organisations and, therefore, one of the most relevant at the international level.

Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. There are currently more than 24,000 member organisations in 167 countries and 61 local networks.
