FCC Environment continues to work to ensure essential services
The spreading and dissemination of the COVID-19 virus throughout Spain has forced the Government to declare the State of Alarm. This new situation obliges all citizens, companies and public and private administrations throughout all the spanish territory to comply with the measures adopted by Royal Decree 463/2020, and by the corresponding support orders of the different Regional offices, by which instructions are issued on guarantees for the provision of essential public services because of the health alert due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Street cleaning and waste collection services are included in the public services classified as essential, so the people who work at FCC Medio Ambiente (the Spanish brand for FCC Environment) continue to delivering our tasks for the maintenance of cities, cleaning, disinfecting and collecting waste, always respecting the protection measures set by the Ministry of Health.
From the management of FCC Medio Ambiente we want to thank all our colleagues for the work they are carrying out to ensure the provision of essential services to all citizens. We also want to thank the great work and dedication of the groups that keep on working so that other people can feel safe and comply with the instructions issued by the competent authorities, especially health personnel, staff from supermarkets, police, firefighters and the Military Emergency Unit.
