FCC Medio Ambiente signs a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid

FCC Medio Ambiente has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR, in its Spanish acronym) for two years to improve the employability and promote the integration into the labour market of people participating in the Integration Programmes for International Protection Applicants, refugees, stateless people and vulnerable immigrants.

The company has committed itself to develop the necessary actions to promote the insertion of the beneficiaries of international protection of CEAR's training and employment service, in line with its human resources strategy and in order to cover the human capital needs that may arise.

Especially with regard to refugees from Ukraine, FCC Medio Ambiente does not wish to remain apart from the display of solidarity and social commitment shown by citizens and local communities in the situation of special need and difficulty they are living. In accordance with the social commitment engraved in its DNA, the company has agreed to reserve at least 120 jobs in its main activities for those refugees who so wish, thus providing a livelihood and occupation to help them cope with the dramatic situation they are going through.

This agreement shows once again FCC Medio Ambiente is determined to support aptitude and talent, and deepens its dedication to society through the integration of people from groups at risk of social exclusion.

The Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid is a non-governmental organisation that has been fighting for the right to asylum of refugees, stateless people and migrants in vulnerable situations since 1979. From its reception centres they offer accommodation, psychological and legal care, and help with their social and employment integration.
